About Me
Software Engineer && Musician
I have spent my life consistently learning, growing, and exploring new ideas as a musician since I began playing at the age of ten. To my surprise these core values also correlate to being a successful software engineer. I have spent the last decade combining my experiences in music with a career in retail before I made the recent pivot into the Full Stack Web Development program at Rithm School. Rithm provided me with the tools, confidence, and resources to leverage my previous experiences to be creative in my approach. I enjoy leveraging my skills in all three industries to provide creative and impactful solutions as a software engineer.

Server side rendered Twitter clone built by rendering Jinja templates in Python with Flask. Database structure with SQLAlchemy, authentication and authorization with Bcrypt hashing and Flask session. Unit and integration testing with Unittest.
A job board where users can sign up, filter and apply to jobs. Frontend built with React using Twitter Bootstrap and CSS3. Backend built in Node and Express with a PostgreSQL database. Database modeling with SQL, bcrypt hashing for passwords, JSONSchema for form validation, and authentication with JWTs
My portfolio website! Built using Next.js, and CSS3. Serverless function setup to accept HTTP requests from the contact form and send an email using EmailJS. Images are optimized with Next.js and the website is fully responsive using Twitter Bootstrap. Fully SEO optimized, follows web best practices, is very accessible, and performs exceptionally well as measured by Google Lighthouse.
A tinder-ish clone where you can connect with friends based on geolocation. Backend built in Python and Flask using SQLAlchemy for data modeling and quering to a PostgreSQL database. Authentication and authorization using Bcrypt password hashing and JSON web tokens. Front end with React and Bootstrap components utilizing Reactstrap. Users can signup, update profiles, and upload images which are stored to an AmazonS3 bucket.
